China’s biotech sector has surged by 134% recently, outperforming the flat U.S. market and creating a massive demand for global capital market visibility. Your role is to sell Selesta’s Equity Research and Capital Market Services to the leadership of Chinese biotechs. You will convince Founders of public (HKEX 18A) and pre-IPO firms that our research is the essential tool for attracting strategic investors, securing high-value M&A deals, and maintaining healthy stock valuations. The role is based in Hong Kong, with occasional travel to Mainland China Biotech Hubs: Shanghai, Suzhou, Shenzhen and Pan Asia conferences.
职责
- Selling Research to Founders: Market our comprehensive 'Initiation Reports' 'Asset Valuations” and 'Monthly Watch' lists to C-suites as a platform to amplify their corporate narrative to global funds.
- Capital Market Positioning: Advise pre-IPO Founders on how our research can 'derisk' their clinical pipeline (e.g., highlighting successful functional cures) to lure strategic institutional investors.
- Deal Sourcing & Licensing Support: Position Selesta’s services as the gateway to a record-breaking year for biotech deal-making, connecting Chinese assets with global biopharma appetite.
- Executive Liaison: Host exclusive management-analyst events where you facilitate the interaction between Chinese Founders and high-net-worth/specialist hedge fund managers. Working together with multi-stake holders like legal firms, investors and biotech founders to generate compelling events that help to market Selesta´s services.
入职条件
- Executive Sales Presence and Active Networking: You must be highly presentable and socially agile, with the ability to walk into a boardroom and command the attention of C- Suits.
- Some Degree of Capital Market Fluency: A concrete understanding of the HKEX Chapter 18A listing rules and the valuation gap between the China and U.S. markets.
- Commercial Mindset: While we produce the science, you produce the revenue. You do not need to be a scientist, but you must be able to sell the value of science-driven financial analysis (e.g., how top-line pivotal data drives a +/-50% stock reaction).
- Be able to maintain a large pipeline of leads via a CRM and live connections.
- Language: a good level Mandarin is mandatory for C-suite trust-building; but professional English is required for internal coordination.

The geographic center of biotech is shifting toward China and Asia. This is a high-visibility role where compensation is directly tied to the growth of our research franchise and the successful execution of capital markets mandates.
Selesta is a recent entrant to the Hong Kong ecosystem but has already secured a foundational client base, and our research is distributed via Bloomberg and other financial terminals. We have an established network of Asia-based biotech founders and a broad ecosystem of specialist investors. Our operations span Boston, Paris, and Hong Kong — a lean, deeply experienced, and globally connected team.
