Job Description

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • Implement and administer government funding programmes related to Chinese medicine development in Hong Kong.
  • Review and assess government-funded programme applications, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor the progress of government-funded projects and review progress reports submitted by grantees for funding disbursement or approval.
  • Handle enquiries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings of the Advisory Committee and various working groups, including preparation of meeting papers and related liaison work.
  • Lead digitalisation initiatives to enhance and maintain the funding programme database, and assist in providing regular analyses of programme progress and achievements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Public Health, Chinese Medicine, Science, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • A postgraduate degree in Epidemiology or Biostatistics would be an advantage.
  • Experience in administering government funding schemes and/or government-funded projects is an advantage.
  • Experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for Chinese medicine manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Medicine industry, and/or related research is beneficial.
  • A strong work ethic; mature, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Chinese word processing.
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.

  2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
