Responsibilities
- Assist the Biotech Investment Team in researching, identifying, and sourcing new deal flow
- Conduct market research and analysis on the industry and technology trends
- Meet potential start-ups and their competitors and providing valuable comments
- Conduct due diligence on new investments including market research, competitive analysis, and financial modelling
- Preparing presentations and investment memos for the Investment Committee
- Supporting portfolio companies in various areas if needed
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements
- PhD holder or above, preferably majoring in medicine, healthcare, biotech, or related disciplines
- At least 1-year relevant working experience in the finance/biotech/healthcare industry
- Willing to travel to the mainland if needed, enjoy staying in Shenzhen, having living/working experience in Mainland China is preferred
- Looking for a fast-paced work environment in a venture capital firm
- Analytical, humble and pragmatic person with a can-do attitude
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a tough environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a small team
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Good command of spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin
- Good command of written English and Chinese

Founded in 2017, Beyond Ventures is a Hong Kong-based venture capital firm with a goal of revitalizing and transforming Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem by being the city’s most impactful venture capital firm. The name “Beyond Ventures” originates from the popular rock-and-roll band Beyond, which emerged in early 1990s Hong Kong.
