HKPC provides a comprehensive, 9-week Summer InnoTalent Programme for tertiary students with incredible on-the-job training opportunities and R&D experience. You will have unique exposure to our diverse business, FutureSkills workshops, field trips, job shadowing and innovation pitch to our senior executives. You will have the chance to get the return offer and become part of HKPC after graduation.

Engineering and Science Related Discipline

1 Centre of Advanced Power and Autonomous Systems ( 先進能源及智慧交通中心 ) APAS is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge technologies centered on automotive platforms and applications, with a particular emphasis on new energy and autonomous systems. The division encompasses four key areas: Intelligent Systems, Smart Mobility, Green Transportation, and Business Development and Commercialisation.

Required Discipline of Study: Computer Science / Electric Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering / Engineering and Science related discipline

2 New Industrialisation Division (新型工業化部)  - NID focuses on developing and implementing new industrialization strategies. New industrialization is an industrial initiative that involves using innovation, advanced production technologies, smartification and gamification technologies to transform traditional manufacturing industries into efficient and sustainable operations. NID supports enterprises to develop new emerging sectors for accelerating economic growth. The division included 7 aspects of Technology Development, Industry 4.0+, Advanced Industries Development & Industrial Engagement, Food Tech and Innovations. HealthTech and TCM and Technical Service Division.

Required Discipline of Study: Computer Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Engineering and Science related discipline

3 Digital Trust and Transformation Division (網絡安全及數碼轉型部) - DTD focuses on leveraging technology to improve business processes, enhance customer experiences, and increase organizational efficiency. The division included 4 aspects of Digital Consulting, Digital Enablement, HKCERT & Emerging Tech & Cyber Security.

Required Discipline of Study: Information System / Information Management / Computer Science /  Computer Engineering or related discipline

4 Green Living and Innovation Division (綠色生活與創新部) - GID focuses on promoting sustainable living practices and driving innovation in the field of environmental sustainability. We have also been dedicated to promoting green technology and innovation development. The division included 6 key aspects of GreenTech Innovation and Testing, Environmental Intelligence and Excellence, AquaTech and Research, Carbon and Waste Upcycle and Air and Energy Innovation

Required Discipline of Study: Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Biotechnology / Pharmacy / Material Science / Marine Science / Environmental Engineering and Science related discipline

5 Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Division (機械人及人工智能部) - RAD is dedicated to the research and development of cutting-edge technologies in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). The division encompasses three key areas: Intelligent Manufacturing and Automation, Innovative Artificial Intelligence, and Innovative Robotics Solutions.

Required Discipline of Study: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics / Computer Science / Automation Engineering / Engineering and Science related discipline

6 Smart City Division (智慧城市部) - SCD focuses on developing and implementing smart city solutions. Smart city solutions use technology and data to improve the quality of life for citizens, enhance sustainability, and drive economic growth. The division included 5 major aspects covering Smart Electronics, Smart Building Application  (e.g. BMS, BACnet, IoT, NB-IoT, Zigbee, LoRa) , Electronics Testing and Reliability, Green Transportation (e,g Hydrogen and other new energy vehicles)  and Smart Systems.

Required Discipline of Study: Biomedical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Biomedical and Life Sciences / Public Health / Engineering-related discipline

7 Smart Manufacturing Division (智能製造部)-  SMD focuses on developing and implementing smart manufacturing solutions involving four aspects: Non-Conventional Manufacturing Technology, Smart Industrial System and Composite Technology, Nano Material and Smart Processing Technology and Metals Technology and Industry Development

Required Discipline of Study: Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing and Systems Engineering / Materials Technology

8 Technology Funding Division (科技資助計劃部)  - TFD is responsible for overseeing the funding of various technology-related projects and initiatives. This includes managing the Recycling Fund, CM Development Fund, Cleaner Production Partnership Programme, and BUD Fund.

Required Discipline of Study: Chinese Medicine / Data Science / Environmental Science

 

Business Related Discipline: (More at application link)

1 Business Development and Operational Excellence - BOU is responsible for improving the overall performance of the Funding Scheme Branch, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of existing operations through process improvement initiatives and Quality Management. The team will also be responsible to explore new business opportunity for the Branch through digitalisation and marketing promotion.

Required Discipline of Study: Business Administration

2 Green Living and Innovation Division ( 綠色生活與創新部) -  GID focuses on promoting sustainable living practices and driving innovation in the field of environmental sustainability.
