Description
Applications are invited for appointments as Clinical Scientist for clinical development projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with technology inventors and clinical trial organizations to apply new inventions in clinical settings
- Developing clinical protocols with professors, collaborators, clinical KOLs, and industry partners
- Managing regulatory and clinical development matters relating to IRB, GCP, GLP, ICH guidelines, HIPAA governance, US FDA, China NMPA, EMA, Japan PMDA, IVD-R, IND, etc.
- Initiating and executing investigator-initiated trials and sponsored trials to study, validate and improve novel products and services for clinical use
- Coordinating research projects, executing experiments, solving technical challenges, and achieving desirable project results
- Translating research outcomes into marketable applications and business opportunities
- Writing proposals, reports, articles, patents, technical specifications, and other publications
- Delivering high-quality presentations to collaborators and partners
- Handling other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s)
Requirements
- MD/ MBBS/ MBChB/ PhD/ M. Phil/ M. Sc/ M. PH/ B. Pharma degree in Medical Science, Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related medical disciplines
- Knowledge in both medical laboratory and clinical trials is a definite advantage
- Mature, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
- Highly proficient and fluent in English in both writing and verbal communications
- Relevant industry (in companies or hospitals, not purely in universities) R&D experience in the healthcare / biotech sector is a MUST:- 1+ year of experience after obtaining PhD degree (registered medical doctor licence is considered equivalent to PhD); or- 2+ years of experience after obtaining master degree
- More experienced candidate can be hired for the Staff Scientist position.
- Relevant industry expertise in specialized areas (in at least one of the following areas):- Animal or Human Neurosurgery, Neurophysiology, or Neuropathology- Cancer diagnostics and treatment- Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) for Pharmaceuticals- FDA-Related Regulatory Affairs- Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Laboratory- Interventional Cardiology or Interventional Radiology- Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MECD)- Ophthalmology Medical Devices- Organoids- Orthopedic Implants- Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Devices for Pathogens or Chronic Diseases- Respiratory Drug Formulation Development
