Description
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/II for innovative and highly collaborative research projects in the themes of Screening Tests / Personalized Companion Diagnostics / Strategic Therapeutics Approaches / Advanced Medical Device Components based at the Hong Kong Science Park.
Responsibilities
- Driving research activities towards defined goals in specified timeline
- Providing technical solutions for ongoing R&D projects
- Processing in data analysis and management
- Drafting reports and presentations relevant to the projects
- Translating research outcomes into real use cases and commercially viable applications
- Performing various laboratory administrative duties
- Supporting various Centre’s events & activities
- Handling other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s)
Requirements
- Field of Study: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Applied Biology, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Medicine, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines. Holder of a Master’s degree will be considered as Research Associate
- Fresh graduates with outstanding academic achievement and strong passion in applied research of biomedical instrumentation will also be considered
- Preferably with industry (corporate, non-academic) R&D experience in the above mentioned four themes
- Fluent in English in both writing and verbal communications; clear and concise writing skills
- Good time management with a strong sense of responsibility and research ethics
- Self-motivated team player who can be assertive to achieve results
- May require collaborative working modes in different labs and physical locations
