Description
We are seeking a motivated and agile Analyst to join our investment and portfolio support team. In this role, you will be at the intersection of science, business, and strategy, playing a critical part in accelerating the growth of our portfolio. Responsibilities
Strategic Portfolio Management: Work directly with founders to support fundraising efforts, market expansion strategies, and key operational initiatives. Help design and execute growth plans to drive value creation through investor engagement, industry analysis, and market research etc.
Regulatory and Clinical Advisory: Provide support on local regulatory submissions and clinical trial planning for portfolio companies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between portfolio companies and external networks of experts, advisors, and partners.
Investment Due Diligence: Assist in the technical assessment of potential venture capital investments. Conduct research on markets, competitors, scientific literature, and intellectual property to inform investment decisions.
General Support: Perform ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by senior management to support the company's overall objectives and operational needs.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in disciplines related to Biomedical, Biotechnology, or equivalent
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is a significant advantage for regional work.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, early-stage company environment.
- A genuine passion for biotechnology innovation and the startup ecosystem.
Highly Preferred:
- 1-3 years of experience in regulatory affairs, clinical operations, healthcare consulting, biopharma, or venture capital.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong and/or Greater China regulatory frameworks (e.g., HK DH, NMPA) for drugs, devices, or diagnostics.
- Understanding of clinical trial processes (protocol design, GCP, ethics submissions).
- Basic financial literacy and experience with startup fundraising, business plans, or market analysis.
